Inaction, 2019
These posters were designed in October 2019 to advertise popup gallery nightclub held in Wesleyan’s Zilkha Gallery created by visiting artist, Brendan Fernandes.
His project was created in response to a history of violence against queer communities and aimed to engage participants in discourse around queerness, shared-space, vulnerability, and collective power.

“Inaction is a new sculptural and performance-based installation by Brendan Fernandes… In public performances throughout the exhibition, his choreography guides dancers to interact with the minimalist, sculptural installations giving them agency to rearrange the sculptures–allowing new spaces in which to create movements.”
